About Phonics Blender

A simple, picture-led way for early readers to practise blending sounds into a word. A picture appears, sound tiles drop in below, and the kid taps them in order to build the word. Tap any tile to hear it (when speech synthesis is available).

Stages

• CVC — three-sound words like cat, dog, sun.
• Silent e (CVCe) — cake, bike, rose.
• Consonant blends — frog, snake, cloud.
• Digraphs — ship, chick, three.

Recommended for

Ages 5–8. CVC level suits new readers; digraphs and the mixed level are a great stretch for grade 1–2.

How to play

1. Look at the picture and say the word.
2. Tap the sound tiles in the right order to build the word.
3. Tap a slot to remove its sound.
