About Phonics Blender
A simple, picture-led way for early readers to practise blending sounds into a word. A picture appears, sound tiles drop in below, and the kid taps them in order to build the word. Tap any tile to hear it (when speech synthesis is available).
Stages
- CVC — three-sound words like cat, dog, sun.
- Silent e (CVCe) — cake, bike, rose.
- Consonant blends — frog, snake, cloud.
- Digraphs — ship, chick, three.
Recommended for
Ages 5–8. CVC level suits new readers; digraphs and the mixed level are a great stretch for grade 1–2.
How to play
- Look at the picture and say the word.
- Tap the sound tiles in the right order to build the word.
- Tap a slot to remove its sound.
