Samantha lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. It was so quiet, but she just couldn’t fall asleep. Then, Samantha noticed a soft, golden glow shining from the edge of the closet door. Feeling curious, Samantha tiptoed over and slowly opened it.
Inside the closet wasn’t clothes or toys—it was a magical portal! Samantha stepped through and gasped. There were glowing stars floating like balloons and hills that sparkled in rainbow colors. Samantha spun around, amazed—it was like stepping into a dream!
As Samantha looked around, a fluffy rabbit with big ears hopped over. “Hi! I’m Whisker,” said the rabbit. “We need your help! A dragon named Snorey can’t sleep, and his tossing and turning is shaking everything!” Whisker wiggled {his} nose as Samantha nodded bravely.
Whisker led Samantha to a big, cozy cave where Snorey the dragon lay, yawning loudly. “I’ve tried everything,” rumbled Snorey. “Only a magical lullaby can help me sleep, but I don’t know where to find it!” Samantha smiled at Whisker and said, “Let’s go find the lullaby!”
Their first stop was a sparkling, singing river. “Listen!” whispered Whisker. The water made a soft, shimmery sound that felt like a gentle hug. Samantha carefully scooped the sound into a glowing jar, and the river sparkled even more.
Next, they found a meadow of flowers that hummed a sweet, happy tune. “This is the second note for the lullaby!” said Whisker. The flowers’ hum made Samantha smile. Samantha caught the sound in the jar, and the flowers swayed like they were dancing.
Finally, they climbed a windy hill covered in tinkling wind chimes. The sound was playful, like laughter on a sunny day. “This is the last note!” said Whisker. Samantha caught the tinkly sound in the jar, and the jar glowed brighter than ever.
Back at the cave, Samantha opened the glowing jar and sang the lullaby with all three magical sounds. The soft, beautiful song filled the air. Snorey’s eyes fluttered closed as he let out a big, happy sigh. “Thank you,” Snorey whispered before falling into a deep, peaceful sleep.
The stars above twinkled brightly as Whisker hopped up to Samantha. “You did it! The whole kingdom is peaceful now,” said Whisker. Leading Samantha back to the portal, Whisker waved and said, “Goodbye, and sweet dreams!”
Samantha blinked and found herself back in her bed. The room was warm and quiet, and the golden glow from the closet was gone. Smiling, Samantha snuggled into her pillow and drifted off into the best sleep ever.
