Tim and his classmates walked into the Big Museum, their mouths open wide. Right in the middle of the room was a huge T-Rex skeleton with sharp teeth and a long, bony tail. "Wow!" Tim said, looking up at it. "Do you think it could move?" one of the kids whispered, giggling.
As they walked closer, Tim saw something shiny near the T-Rex’s big foot. It was a glowing stone that sparkled like a star! Tim bent down and touched it with one finger. Suddenly, the T-Rex skeleton creaked, wiggled, and started to move!
The T-Rex blinked its empty eyes and stretched its tiny arms. "Oh no!" Tim gasped as the T-Rex’s tail swung—CRASH! A big display of shiny rocks fell to the floor with a loud bang. The Museum Guard turned around and frowned.
"Hide!" Tim whispered, pulling the T-Rex behind a big red curtain. The dinosaur tried to squeeze in, but its long tail stuck out and swished everywhere. "Stop moving!" Tim said, but the T-Rex just made a loud rattling noise with its teeth.
The T-Rex wandered into the Fossil Room, where shelves were filled with old bones and cool shapes. It saw a round, bumpy fossil and picked it up with his tiny arms. Thinking it was a ball, the T-Rex tossed it in the air and ran after it, knocking things over. "Oh no! Not again!" Tim cried, chasing the rolling "ball."
Next, the T-Rex waddled into the gift shop, looking around. It tried to grab a shiny keychain, but the keychains jingled loudly. Then it found a hat and tried to wear it, but the hat slid down to the tip of its nose. "This is a disaster!" Tim said, shaking his head.
The Museum Guard was now walking all over, looking for the noise. "What’s going on in here?" the guard mumbled, getting closer. Tim grabbed the T-Rex’s arm and whispered, "We have to be quiet!" But the T-Rex kept waddling, its clunky tail making loud thuds.
Suddenly, Tim had an idea. Picking up the fossil "ball," Tim waved it in front of the T-Rex. "Do you want this?" Tim asked, holding it high. The T-Rex wiggled happily and ran after it as Tim tossed the ball toward the T-Rex’s display stand.
The T-Rex climbed back onto the platform. It sat perfectly still just as the Museum Guard walked into the room. "Hmm," the guard said, looking around carefully. The T-Rex froze, pretending to be a regular skeleton again.
The Museum Guard scratched his head and walked away, mumbling, "I must be hearing things." Tim let out a big sigh of relief. The T-Rex’s head had tilted just a little, and its mouth looked like it was smiling. "You’re a funny dinosaur," Tim whispered, giggling while walking back to his classmates.
